Although the accommodation is quite modern with good facilities, you have to remember that you are in the middle of nowhere. On an oil rig you need to wear safety equipment which most you will be issued with, you may need to get boots. There is always a color system aboard an oil rig, all lifting equipment after it has been checked is tagged with a color, and if the colour is not current the item shouldnt be used.
Also don’t upset the radio operator, medic or chef. Helicopters, medical attention and food are most important.
